On World Schizophrenia Day, the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta will be holding its first annual Strides of Hope walk. This one hour walk will be held in six cities across the province to show support for all those affected by schizophrenia. Wear purple or white and join us to make our first Strides of Hope Walk a success!
Indigenous Arts & Crafts Market - Wetaskiwin & District Heritage Museum

Bring your artistic talents to the Heritage Museum for our Indigenous Art & Craft Markets. Add some flare to our community through colour, creation, and style with your unique inventions and design. Exhibition and sale of your work or product is welcome. This is an opportunity to advertise or brand your work and treat the public to your local skills. FREE to attend!
Mediums: Drawings, paintings, photography, textiles (clothing), sculpture, multimedia, cosmetics, jewelry and digital graphics are all acceptable. Please be advised that space is limited.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or over, preferably reside within Wetaskiwin City, County or Maskwacis and have an indigenous heritage to qualify.

War Amps Key Tags Service

The War Amps serves more amputees than ever, thanks to donations to the Key Tag Service. These key tags are attached to your key ring and are confidentially coded so it is registered to only your name and address. So if you lose your keys, the finder can call the toll-free number on the back of the key tag or in any mailbox in Canada and they will be returned to you. Flaman Race for Kids is an exciting competition consisting of fun checkpoint challenges over a 3 km course. It will provide teams the opportunity to compete, win cash prizes and work as a team while supporting and raising funds for children and youth.
